Runcorn Railway Station Wins the Best Staffed Station Award

Runcorn Railway station has scooped the award in the Best Staffed Station catagory, at the 'Cheshire Best Kept Stations Awards' this week.

Announcing the Award Runcorn Railway Station, John Hulme, Organiser of Cheshire Best Kept Stations said: "The award for Runcorn Railway Station is for the staffed station that provides the rail traveller with the best customer experience.  This easy access station has a pleasant and secure environment with staff that excel in face-to-face service.  Keith Millard and his team run a first class station”.

Mr Keith Milliard, Station Manager for Runcorn is delighted with the win and commented: "I am very pleased to say that we won the Best Staffed Station Category , I see this not only as an accolade for the staff  who deliver on a constant basis , but also for the wider picture  for Halton  and an asset to the Borough  to welcome people into the region  for business and pleasure".

There are now around 17 direct trains every weekday from Runcorn heading to the capital, providing a fast, hourly link for business travellers. Runcorn station has easy car parking and now even boasts a first class lounge. The fastest scheduled train leaves Runcorn at 7.15am and delivers passengers to Euston Station by 9am.
