The five categories are ‘Outstanding Customer Service’, ‘Family Friendly Assistant’, ‘Team of the Year’, ‘Outstanding Young Person’ (age16-24) and ‘Unseen Hero/Volunteer’. The closing date for nominations is Friday 8th January and finalists will be invited to a glittering awards ceremony at the De Vere Hotel, Daresbury Park on 26th February 2010. Jules Burgess-Wilson, chair of the Tourism Business Network, said: “The standard of last year’s winners was exceptional and we are sure there are many more candidates in Halton worthy of recognition this year. We are delighted to launch the award scheme at the Runcorn Ski Centre, which was one of the 2009 winners - its staff won the Family Friendly award for providing fantastic birthday ski parties.” Details of the 2010 Business Awards, which will also be presented at the same ceremony in February, will be announced by Halton Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise later in the year.
