Register Your Interest as a Supplier for The Mersey Gateway Project

The construction and operation of the Mersey Gateway will require a range of suppliers, ranging from businesses with specialist engineering skills through to catering firms to feed the hundreds of workers who will help to build the new bridge. The decision from government, about whether the new bridge is to go ahead, is expected early in 2010.

As part of the preparation for procurement, the project team is encouraging potential suppliers to register their interest with the team, so that their details can be shared with the concessionaire when they are appointed.

Mersey Gateway Integration and Policy Manager, Dave Owen, said: "If government gives the go-ahead for the Project, we will be holding briefing events for businesses interested in becoming a supplier to the project. These will provide details about the project and explain how the tendering/supplier arrangements will work."

Businesses who wish to be included in the Mersey Gateway expressions of interest suppliers register should call Stephanie Walters on 0151 495 4097 or email stephanie.walters@halton.gov.uk  with  details of the business, including the services and/or products provided and contact details (email preferably).  All businesses expressing an interest will receive an automatic invitation to one of the briefing events.
