Vote NOW for Halton's Top Businesses!

Voting has now opened to select Halton’s top businesses – and we need you to decide who are the worthy winners.

Nearly 80 nominations have been received for the second annual Halton Business and Tourism Awards, organised jointly by Halton Chamber of Commerce and Runcorn and Widnes Tourism Business Network. Tourism finalists are currently being assessed by a panel of expert judges, but the business winners will be decided by public vote.

Three finalists have been chosen for each of the four Business Award categories – Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Exporter of the Year, and Best New Start-up Business. Networker of the Year can be selected from all the monthly winners at the Chamber’s popular 1st Tuesday breakfast network events.

Anyone can vote, not just Chamber members. Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 31st January 2010.

Halton Chamber executive vice chair, Eric Hudson, said: “We have some very strong contenders for the top awards this year. I want to encourage everyone to support their local businesses and take time to vote. It is a quick and simple process and would mean a great deal to those companies nominated. It’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate the borough’s business success stories.”

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the De Vere Hotel, Daresbury Park, on Friday 26 February 2010. The event, which will also include the presentation of the Tourism Awards, will be hosted by Wire Fm presenter, Pete Pinnington.

Tickets for the event cost £45, with a 10% reduction for Chamber members. This includes a three course meal, disco and a chance to celebrate Halton’s success in business and tourism.
