Voting has now closed for the Halton Business Awards 2010
Voting to select Halton’s top businesses has now closed. The winners from each of the five Business award categories have been chosen by a public vote, including Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Exporter of the Year, Best New Start-up Business and Networker of the Year. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the De Vere Hotel, Daresbury Park, on Friday 26 February 2010. The event, which will also include the presentation of the Tourism Awards, will be hosted by Wire Fm presenter, Pete Pinnington. If you would like to attend the event, we have a limited number of tickets available. Tickets for the event cost £45, with a 10% reduction for Chamber members. This includes a three course meal, disco and a chance to celebrate Halton’s success in business and tourism.

Voice your travel views with the Virgin Trains survey What really is the most important thing when you are choosing which way you want to travel? Virgin Trains are keen to understand the current travel choices and needs of businesses in our area. Whether you travel with Virgin or not, you are invited to have your say by answering a few questions. This short survey should only take 5 minutes of your time, and we would encourage you to complete it.

As the winner of December's prestigious 'Networker of the Month' award at the 1stuesday networking event, Jill Corkish from Elbmbrook Solutions becomes the latest Halton Chamber 'Featured Member' to be profiled.
Jill has now set up her own company, Elmbrook Solutions Ltd, working as a Business Efficiency Consultant. Elmbrook is able to work with clients’ Senior Management team to develop effective processes to reduce costs and maximise efficiency. Drawing on experience, Jill is able to bring a fresh look at the business, identify risks and challenges and provide recommended solutions and improvements.
